TOWN OF NEW LISBON LEGAL NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that the regular June monthly meeting of the New Lisbon Town Board has been changed to Wednesday, June 8, 2016, 7:30 PM at the Town Hall in Garrattsville.
Further notice is hereby given that the New Lisbon Town Board will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at 7:30 PM on two proposed Local Laws as follows:
Proposed Local Law #2 of 2016, A Local Law Establishing a Moratorium on the Creation and Installation of “Solar Energy Farms” in the Town of New Lisbon. This local law would set a six month moratorium while the Town works on revising site plan review regulations to specifically cover solar farms.
Proposed Local Law #3 of 2016, A Local Law Governing the Appointment of a Temporary Administrator by the Town of New Lisbon. This local law would allow the Town Board to appoint a town officer or employee to substitute for the Town Supervisor and Deputy Town Supervisor when they are unavailable.
Copies of the complete text of the proposed laws may be picked up at the Town Clerk’s office or viewed below. All interested parties will be heard at the public hearings.

The regular monthly meeting of the New Lisbon Town Board for June has been changed to Wednesday, June 8th at 7:30 PM at the Town Hall. (instead of the regular date of June 14th)
The Otsego County Historical Association will present “Leaders and Legends of Otsego County” at the New Lisbon Town Hall on Friday, June 10th, 2016 from 1:00PM to 2:30PM.
The presentation will highlight the rich and diverse history of Otsego County. Participants will receive a free historical marker book that the Otsego County Historical Association compiled. The historical marker book won the 2016 Preservation Award in Education/Outreach presented by Otsego 2000.
Light refreshments will be served.

Open burning is banned from March 15th through May 15th per NYS DEC Regulations to help prevent brush fires. Help the fire department by not burning outdoors during this time frame.
The New Lisbon Town Hall is now a Time Warner Cable Wi-Fi Hotspot.
People who have a Time Warner account can sign in using their password. If you aren’t a Time Warner customer, you can sign in as a guest and have 60 minutes of internet access per day.

Lunch meals for seniors (age 60 and older) are held the Third & Fourth Wednesday at 12:00 Noon at the New Lisbon Town Hall. If you want to attend you must call 547-6454 at least the day before to register. The suggested donation for the meal is $3.50. All seniors are welcome.
Due to increasing costs, the New Lisbon Town Board has amended the guidelines for community use of the New Lisbon Town Hall. Continue reading
